DESCRIPTION
Cubism used to be a movement set on portraying three-dimensional forms on two-dimensional surfaces ? but this wasn?t enough. Try as they may, the objects remained flat to the touch. Nesting tables have made a comeback in recent years thanks to the drive toward realism. No longer are we satisfied with flat exhibitions of three-dimensional experience. Instead, we seek out ways to interact with our world in ways richer than we at first imagined possible. At its fullest, the set most represents spatial dimensions, and their ability to be tucked away into compact areas. While Picasso may have been trying to depict three-dimensional life on two-dimensional surfaces, we are vested with the task of re-imaging cubism for our era. To add multiples dimensions with the once settled three-dimensional space.
